Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in India seeks an experienced MES Consultant to lead Manufacturing Execution System implementations for automotive clients, with DELMIA Apriso and/or Siemens Opcenter expertise. You will drive solution design, implementation leadership, and stakeholder engagement on digital manufacturing initiatives.

The role requires deep automotive process knowledge (assembly, paint, powertrain), strong communication, and the ability to integrate MES with SAP ERP and other enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, CS or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in MES, Manufacturing IT or Digital Manufacturing.
• Hands-on DELMIA Apriso and/or Siemens Opcenter Execution Discrete experience.
• Experience integrating MES with SAP ERP and other enterprise apps.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications in MES or Industry 4.0 are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead MES implementations, rollout, and support projects using DELMIA Apriso and/or Siemens Opcenter.
• Configure MES functions: Production, Quality, Traceability, Work Instructions, OEE.
• Design integrations between MES and SAP ERP, PLM, SCADA, PLCs.
• Support design, testing, deployment, go-live and stabilization activities.
• Ensure adherence to ISA-95 standards.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced MES Consultant with expertise in DELMIA Apriso and/or Siemens Opcenter to lead Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementations and digital manufacturing initiatives for automotive clients. This role combines solution design, implementation leadership, stakeholder engagement, and manufacturing domain expertise to deliver next-generation shop-floor solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead MES implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support projects using DELMIA Apriso and/or Siemens Opcenter.
• Configure and customize MES functionalities including Production, Quality Management, Traceability, Work Instructions, and OEE.
• Design and implement integrations between MES and enterprise systems such as SAP ERP, PLM, SCADA, PLCs, and other shop-floor applications.
• Support solution design, testing, deployment, cutover, go-live, and post-production stabilization activities.
• Ensure adherence to manufacturing standards and best practices including ISA-95 architecture principles.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 10-15 years of experience in MES, Manufacturing IT, or Digital Manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on expertise in DELMIA Apriso and/or Siemens Opcenter Execution Discrete.
• Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes including Assembly, Body Shop, Paint Shop, and Powertrain operations.
• Experience integrating MES solutions with SAP ERP and other enterprise applications.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in MES, Manufacturing Systems, Industry 4.0, or SAP integration are an added advantage.
