Job summary

FMC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Lead in Hyderabad with 7–10 years of experience in 3D modeling using Unigraphics NX, focusing on hydraulic tubing and drafting. The role requires excellent drafting standards knowledge and strong project management capabilities.

You will supervise a culturally diverse team, coordinate design activities, and ensure all deliverables meet contract requirements and QHSE standards, while supporting operations and inspections.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of experience in 3D Modeling using Unigraphics NX in hydraulic tubing and drafting.
• Advanced knowledge of drafting, design, testing standards and tools.
• Advanced project management skills.
• Advanced organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to supervise diverse cultural team.
• Ability to make recommendations for process improvements.
• Excellent command of English.

Responsibilities

• Leads the production of design/fabrication plans and installation sketches/animation within project hours and schedules, ensuring quality standards.
• Coordinates designers' activities to deliver equipment modeling, conception plans, and sketches/animation within allocated man hours and schedules.
• Ensures all design deliverables meet contract requirements, QHSE plan, SSE/NX processes and drawing standards.
• Supervises Designers and prioritizes, adjusts, and directs the design work performed by them.
• Supports operations and inspection activities.
• Identifies risks associated with design activities.
• Ensures technical consolidation.

Job Purpose

Leads the production of design/fabrication plans and/or installation sketches/animation within SSE's complex projects and/or operations, in accordance with drawing, design, manufacturing standards and processes, schedule and man hours, with a permanent concern for quality standards and targets.

Job Description

Coordinates the designers activities with responsibility for delivering equipment modeling and conception plans as well as sketches/animation, within the project allocated man hours and schedules.

Ensures that all design deliverables are in accordance with the contract requirements, the project QHSE plan and TechnipFMC processes as well as drawing standards.

Supervises Designers and prioritizes, adjusts, and directs the design work performed by them.

Supports operations and inspection activities.

Identifies risks associated with design activities.

Ensures technical consolidation.
