Job summary

Airtel is seeking a seasoned EXIM and regulatory compliance specialist in Gurgaon to lead import/export operations and ensure adherence to tax and regulatory standards. The role acts as SME for circles and business teams, coordinating with CHA operations and external consultants.

You will own the end-to-end EXIM process, manage customs filings including BOE accuracy, classify new items under CTH, and oversee responses to notices and provisional assessments while ensuring timely shipment

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in import/export operations and regulatory compliance.
• Deep SME-level knowledge of regulatory clearances for telecom sector preferred.
• Experience with statutory compliances and telecom requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own entire EXIM process and provide SME support to circles for CHA operations.
• Handle customs filings and ensure accuracy of BOE.
• Classify new items under CTH, maintain CTH list with external partners.
• Respond to notices and hearings, supporting representations.
• Track provisional assessments to closure and expedite shipments from port to warehouse.
• Support WPC filings, TEC, NSDTS and entry tracking.
• Ensure EPR and ESG compliances.

Job description

Heads all import clearances and regulatory / taxation support from supply chain. Heads compliances framework for materials management. Works with business teams at center and circles as the subject matter expert.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Own entire EXIM process and support as an SME to circles for CHA operations
• 3. Customs filings, accountable for correctness of BOE
• 4. CTH classifications for new items, maintain CTH list, work along with external consultants, taxation, partners
• 5. Response to notices, hearings and supporting representations
• 6. Tracking provisional assessments to closure
• 7. On time delivery of shipments from port to warehouses, support in expediting shipments
• 8. WPC filings, TEC, NSDTS support and tracking
• 9. EPR, ESG compliances

Experience & Skills

• 1. 4+ years of experience
• 2. Experience of running operations of imports, regulatory clearances with deep subject matter expertise in this area. Experience in Telecom will be preferred.
• 3. Experience of regulatory, statutory compliances
• 4. Exposure to ERP / Global Trade compliance and Trade management tools will be preferred
