Job summary

TVS Design Studio is seeking a Concept Designer to contribute to TVSM's vehicle portfolio and brands. You will help design concept vehicles and develop from sketches to concept models.

The candidate should have 5–12 years in production automotive design, with experience in motorcycles, scooters and 4W design, and proficiency in Blender, Alias and Vred. Collaboration with engineers and CMF/Graphic teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive / Transportation / Product Design.
• Hands-on skill translating 2D sketches to 3D models in Blender/Alias/Vred.
• Strong visual and verbal communication; collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create design proposals for TVSM portfolio from broad themes to detail design.
• Produce sketches showing a future mobility vision for the brand.
• Develop designs from sketch to concept modelling in Blender, clay, and Class A surfacing.
• Work with engineers to translate design into implementable solutions.
• Coordinate with CMF/Graphic teams to showcase color/trim directions.
• Direct prototypes fabrication for review and sign-offs.

We are seeking highly passionate, multi-talented, creative design professionals for the role of Concept Designer at TVS Design Studio.

As a designer at TVSM Design Studio, you will be responsible for the design development of our current & future TVSM vehicle portfolio & brands. You will also be part of designing concept vehicles to lay the foundation for future vision models.

You will be part of the core team that creates and executes world-class mobility solutions in terms of design & brand building.

What You’ll Do

• Create Design proposals for TVSM portfolio of vehicles, ranging from broad design themes all the way to detail design.
• Create compelling sketches that show a vision for the future of mobility & the brand.
• Create design from the sketch to concept modelling in Blender, clay, and through to class A surfacing.
• Work closely with engineers to develop engineering solutions that serve the design vision.
• Participate in cross-functional user research, product definition, feature listing and future upgrades.
• Work along with CMF & Graphic designers to create compelling designs that showcase the future of color and trim to create a unified vision for the designs.
• Work with suppliers to integrate the best possible technologies to achieve product craftsmanship.
• Direct the fabrication team to complete prototypes for review & sign-offs.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive / Transportation / Product Design.
• Minimum of 5 to 12 years of experience in production automotive design, or a combination of advanced and production design. (applicable for only design positions).
• Essential knowledge of Motorcycle, scooter & 4W design.
• Must have demonstrated knowledge/ experience of prototyping and development processes.
• Trained in interacting with customers for gaining insights.
• Hands-on skill in translating 2D sketches to 3D realistic models in Blender, Alias & Vred. (Animation expertise will be an asset).
• Support 3D modelers with clear visual and verbal direction in the creation of digital models & physical models.
• Exceptional visual and fluent communication skills.
• Collaborative and solid team player.
• Sensitive to form, product and graphic design details, colour, etc.
