The roleprovides data-driven insight and decision support to the product, growth andcommercial teams responsible for NPCI flagship payment products (RuPay, UPI, Acceptance,NETC) and is accountable for converting portfolio data into clear actionsthat improve growth, retention and profitability. The position embedsanalytics early in the product and offer lifecycle, enabling faster andbetter-informed decisions on segmentation, pricing, benefits and customerengagement.

The role isexpected to challenge existing assumptions with evidence, build reusableanalytical capability and data assets for use across teams, and partner withstakeholders to solve complex product and portfolio problems at NPCI and itssubsidiary (the “Company”).

  • Data Assets: Build and maintain reusable, well-documented dataassets for NPCI flagship payment products (RuPay, UPI, Acceptance, NETC) for consumption across analytics, product,risk and commercial teams.
  • Standards & Governance: Establish common metric definitions,documentation and data-quality standards for analytical outputs and sharedassets.
  • Portfolio Insight & Action: Own end-to-end analytics for the NPCI flagship payment products (RuPay, UPI, Acceptance, NETC) Track portfolio health across activation, spend, usage andattrition, identify drivers of performance, and translate findings intospecific, prioritized actions for product and business teams. Build andmaintain recurring portfolio dashboards and deep-dive analyses that driveinterventions on growth, retention and profitability.
  • Design and operationalizecustomer-level and merchant-level segmentation using behavioral andtransactional signals. Develop persona frameworks, value tiers and lifecyclesegments to guide product, offer and engagement strategy. Build models forpropensity, attrition and cross-sell, and convert segments into addressabletargeting cohorts for issuers and acquirers.
  • Support offerand campaign creation with data-driven hypotheses on audience, rewardconstruct and expected response. Optimize product pricing and economics –interchange, MDR, reward and benefit constructs –by modelling uniteconomics, elasticity and portfolio-level impact. Design test-and-learnframeworks and measure incrementality and ROI of offers and pricing changes.
  • Work withbenefit management software to structure, configure and monitor cardholderbenefits and entitlements, ensuring accuracy and measurability of benefitusage. Build reusable, well-documented data assets and feature stores forRuPay that can be consumed across analytics, product, risk and commercialteams, establishing common definitions and a single source of truth.
