Job summary

Orange is seeking a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Architect in Gurgaon to own the technical vision for the Cloud Avenue portfolio (IaaS, vCoD, GenAI). You will set architectural governance, drive design and industrialization of next-generation cloud offerings, and mentor a team of architects and engineers.

You will bridge technical architecture with business goals, lead complex solutions, and collaborate with Product and Operations in a global, hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Define Architecture Strategy: Establish long-term technical vision and architectural roadmap for the Cloud Avenue platform.
• Establish Governance: Enforce architectural standards, design patterns, best practices for security, scalability, cost-efficiency.
• Lead evaluation and industrialization of new core cloud technologies including hardware, networking, virtualization, GenAI components.
• Complex Solution Design: Approve the most complex, high-value cloud/hybrid infrastructure solutions for enterprise customers.
• Oversee architecture and integration of VMware, Cisco IP fabric, multi-vendor hardware.
• Drive end-to-end industrialization of new cloud services including service catalogs, automation, billing, monitoring.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and foster technical excellence, cross-functional collaboration with Product, Operations.

About the role

Lead Architect Role & Responsibility:

The Lead Cloud Infrastructure Architect will serve as the senior technical leader for the Cloud Avenue service portfolio (IaaS, vCoD, GenAI, etc.). This role is responsible for setting the technical vision, establishing architectural governance, and leading the design and industrialization of next-generation cloud infrastructure offerings.

The Lead Architect will mentor the team, act as the final authority on complex designs, and bridge technical architecture with strategic business goals.

Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesI. Strategic Architecture &

• Define Architecture Strategy: Establish the long-term technical vision and architectural roadmap for the Cloud Avenue platform, ensuring alignment with Orange's business objectives.
• Establish Governance: Develop and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices across all cloud infrastructure projects to ensure security, compliance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Technology Evaluation: Lead the evaluation, selection, and industrialization of new core cloud technologies (e.g., hardware, networking, virtualization, and emerging services like GenAI components).

II. Technical Solution Leadership

• Complex Solution Design: Serve as the final design authority for the most complex, high-value cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions (IaaS, vCoD, etc.) for enterprise customers.
• End-to-End Platform Design: Oversee the architecture and integration of foundational cloud components, including VMware technology (vSphere, NSX-T), Cisco IP fabric, and multi-vendor hardware (HP, Cisco, Storage, Backup).
• Product Industrialization: Drive the end-to-end industrialization lifecycle for new cloud services, including defining technical specifications, creating service catalogs, and integrating automation, billing, and monitoring systems.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Technical Mentorship: Provide guidance, coaching, and technical direction to junior and mid-level architects and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary technical interface between the Architecture team and Product Management, Operations
