Job summary

Jagtap Horticulture is seeking a skilled Landscape Draftsman to join the Landscape Design team. The role focuses on producing accurate landscape drawings, layouts, and technical drawings from design concepts and project requirements.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of landscape design, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a willingness to learn new drafting tools used by the organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed landscape drawings, layouts, and technical drawings using AutoCAD.

• Prepare planting, hardscape, softscape, irrigation layouts and other landscape drawings.
• Convert concepts into accurate technical drawings and coordinate with teams.
• Ensure drawings follow dimensions, scales, levels, and drawing standards.
• Assist in drawings for landscape execution and site implementation.
• Review site measurements and existing conditions before drawing.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Landscape Draftsman to join our Landscape Design team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate landscape drawings, layouts, and technical drawings based on design concepts and project requirements.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of landscape design, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a strong willingness to learn new landscape design and drafting tools.

Role & responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed landscape drawings, layouts, and technical drawings using AutoCAD.
2. Develop landscape plans based on design concepts, site measurements, and project requirements.
3. Prepare planting plans, hardscape layouts, softscape layouts, irrigation layouts, and other landscape drawings.
4. Convert design concepts and sketches into accurate and detailed technical drawings.
5. Coordinate with Estimators, and Site Teams to ensure drawings are practical and accurate.
6. Ensure drawings follow required dimensions, scales, levels, specifications, and drawing standards.
7. Assist in preparing drawings required for landscape execution and site implementation.
8. Understand basic landscape elements such as plants, paving, pathways, lawns, decks, pergolas, water features, irrigation, lighting, and other garden elements.
9. Review site measurements and existing conditions before preparing drawings.
10. Maintain proper documentation and organized drawing files for different projects.
11. Learn and adapt to new landscape design and drafting software/tools used by the organization.
12. Coordinate with the execution team to resolve drawing-related queries during project implementation.

Preferred candidate profile
