Job summary

Johnson Controls India is seeking a Labour Compliance Executive to ensure regulatory alignment across projects at Ahmedabad. You will manage compliance documentation, liaise with customers and subcontractors, and uphold internal SOPs for HR and payroll processes.

Ideal candidates have MBA-HR or MSW with 3–5 years of labour compliance experience, and strong knowledge of wage codes, ESIC, PF, and related regulations. Local language proficiency is essential.

• Good written and spoken communication; local language proficiency

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding calls to understand compliance requirements and gather documents
• Prepare and submit compliance documents per customer requests
• Maintain timely submission and upkeep of compliance records per guidelines
• Coordinate with customers to address remarks from audits and approvals
• Work with subcontractors to ensure billing processes and compliance per SOPs
• Assist with licenses and wage law compliance (BOCW, CLRA, ISMW)

Project compliance

• Arrange an initial call or meeting with the customer to understand their compliance process requirements and gather information on necessary document submissions.
• Prepare and provide compliance documents as per customer requests.
• Ensure timely preparation, submission, and maintenance of all required compliance documents, both online and online, as per regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
• Customers will review the submitted compliance and provide remarks to be addressed as needed.
• Obtain the audit report on compliance submissions from the customer's site.

Subcon compliance

• Conduct an introductory call with the subcontractor to explain the billing process.
• Provide guidance to the subcontractor in accordance with JCI HR SOP and as per customer requirements.
• Review compliance documents submitted by the subcontractor as per the checklist.
• In case of non-compliance, coordinate with JCI Project Team, SCM Team, and the subcontractor to take necessary actions.
• Obtain approval from the Compliance Manager for reviewed compliance documents.
• Share the Compliance Manager's approval with the subcontractor.
• BOCW, CLRA and ISMW related licenses and returns.
• Minimum wages and Labour laws related knowledge for the central and state.
