Job summary

RGBSI is seeking a Test Lab Engineer/Senior Test Lab Engineer in India to work with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance and reliability.

You will develop and execute test plans, lead corrective actions in the Lab, and collaborate with product development to implement cost- and performance improvements, including experience with R290 refrigerants and industry standards such as DOE and ASHRAE. ISO17025 readiness and audits are a focus.

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical Engineering (4 years) is required.
• ME in Thermal or Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Engineering with 6–8 years of experience.
• Experience with DOE, ASHRAE 72, NSF 7, UL and ISO17025 auditing is preferred.
• Ability to lead test lab projects and drive corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Resolve issues with stakeholders and internal engineers on performance and customer expectations.
• Develop and execute test plans to verify design intent and reliability of existing and future products.
• Lead projects and corrective actions in the Test Lab relating to product performance.
• Collaborate with product engineering to implement cost reductions and performance improvements.
• Experience with testing on R290 refrigerant is an added advantage.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities of Test Lab Engineer /Senior Test Lab Engineer :

• Work directly with cross-functional stakeholders & Internal engineers to resolve issues regarding performance, parts and customer expectations.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure design intent is met for existing and future products. Develop and execute test plans to ensure reliability specifications are met for existing and future products.
• Act as a lead in driving project, corrective actions in the Test Lab as they relate to product performance.
• Work with product engineering/ New product development team to conceptualize and implement improvements to existing product for cost reductions and performance improvements.
• Test experience in handling on R290 refrigerant is an added advantage
• Partner with appropriate teams to evaluate component and design alternatives that can be integrated into existing product for quality/cost improvements. Experience in Reliability testing on components & mini tab software for reliability application is preferred.
  Understand industry and regulatory requirements as they apply to existing and new products (i.e., DOE, ASHRAE 72, NSF 7, UL, etc.). To work on test lab documentation to get lab accredited for ISO17025. Demonstrating ISO 17025-2017 during audits.

Skill set of Sr. Test Lab Engineer :

• Problem solving, critical thinking and effective communication skills.
• Should have excellent Communication both Verbal and written - Collaborate with entire organization.
• Should have in-depth Knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical/controls systems and mechanical equipment's.
• Well versed with Industry standards, compliance, regulatory and certifications in the refrigeration industry
• Team player in Multidisciplinary Cross functional team. Collaboration with External partners /vendors for product developments & testing
• Project Quality Delivery and Cost mindset. Continuous improvement and innovation focus

Education qualification :

B.E (Mechanical) 4 years

M.E in Thermal or Refrigeration & Air-conditioning engineering- 6 to 8 years
