Job summary

RGBSI is seeking a skilled Lab Technician in Mumbai to support refrigeration test programs. You will set up CO2 refrigeration test rigs, verify instrumentation, and ensure data integrity for product testing. The role requires a hands-on approach and strict adherence to safety, regulatory standards, and lab processes.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of relevant experience, a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical or RAC, and proven capability to work with refrigeration tools and brazing operations.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of lab experience in refrigeration testing or related roles.
• Diploma in Mechanical or Refrigeration & Air-conditioning (3 years) required.
• Hands-on experience with CO2 refrigeration systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up refrigerated display cases, measuring probes and test equipment in line with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration systems and test setup faults to keep testing on schedule.
• Evaluate test data and recommend modifications to meet testing goals.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and apply safety procedures and 5S in the lab.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities of Lab Technician :

• Setup of refrigerated display cases, measuring probe and associated test equipment following industry standards. Should have hands on knowledge in CO2 refrigeration system.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration system and test setup faults
• Evaluate test data and recommend case changes to achieve testing goals
• Understand industry and regulatory requirements as they apply to product testing
• Support lab initiatives including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting/repair of test infrastructure, and 5S activities
  Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies and procedures

Skill set of Lab Technician :

• Problem solving, critical thinking and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical/controls systems and mechanical equipment's.
• Experience with refrigeration tools and equipment
• Perform brazing operation, setup brazing tools and cylinder

Experience required for Lab Technician :5 to 8years

Education qualification :3years Diploma in mechanical or Refrigeration & Air-conditioning
