Job summary

Intertek in Mumbai is seeking a laboratory technician to perform textile physical testing according to procedures and worksheets, under supervision.

The role requires a Degree/Diploma in textiles or a B.Sc in Physics/Chemistry, with relevant experience in a physical textile testing laboratory. You will maintain records, keep the work area clean, and coordinate test progress with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in textiles or B.Sc in Physics/ Chemistry is required.
• Relevant experience in a physical textile testing laboratory is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all allotted tests as per the procedure/method in the worksheet or as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Maintain all necessary records of the tests conducted in the prescribed format.
• Keep the test area and surroundings clean with impeccable housekeeping.
• Maintain equipment logbook and calibration records up-to-date.
• Provide progress updates on jobs to coordinators; report any material/method/equipment discrepancies to the Supervisor.

• To keep all necessary records of the tests conducted in the format given.
• To keep the in and around the test area clean and maintain impeccable housekeeping all around.
• To maintain the equipment logbook and calibration records up to-date.
• To give the required information about the progress of the jobs on hand to the coordinators.
• If any discrepancy in test material, method or equipments, bring it to the notice of the Supervisor.
