Job summary

UST is seeking a Lab Technician to join its Bengaluru lab. The role involves assembling and bringing up hardware, installing Windows and Linux, updating firmware, and performing root-cause analysis of issues.

You will work with engineers and other lab staff to deploy platforms, test configurations, and document resolutions. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in hardware assembly or technical support, strong troubleshooting, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling, configuring and bring-up of hardware platforms including BIOS flashing.
• OS installation and configuration for validation or production environments.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues with root-cause analysis.
• Coordination with engineers and lab technicians for deployment and testing.
• 2+ years in hardware assembly or technical support role.
• Familiarity with BIOS/UEFI flashing and firmware updates.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software.
• Good communication and customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Maintain inventory and firmware version control.
• Adhere to lab safety and keep workspace organized.
• Generate and maintain documentation for configurations and resolutions.
