Job summary

UST is seeking an Associate III - Semiconductor Product Validation in Bengaluru, India, to design and execute validation plans for firmware, embedded systems, and software across Linux platforms and device drivers.

You will implement automated test frameworks, develop scripts, and validate hardware-software integration while driving quality through SDLC processes and collaboration with development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
• 3+ years in software, firmware, embedded, or platform validation.
• Strong SDLC understanding and testing methodologies.
• Experience with test case development, defect tracking, and test management.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Shell.
• Experience with automation frameworks and test execution tools.
• Knowledge of Linux OS and command-line.
• Familiarity with Git version control.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Semiconductor Product validation Develop and execute validation plans, test cases, and test strategies based on product requirements.
• Design and implement automated test frameworks for functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.
• Develop automation scripts to improve test coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
• Validate firmware, embedded systems, Linux platforms, device drivers, and application software.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software, firmware, embedded, or platform validation.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Experience in test case development, defect tracking, and test management.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with automation frameworks and test execution tools.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line environments.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience validating Embedded Linux, firmware, and device drivers.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet, and PCIe.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Robot Framework, PyTest, Selenium, or custom automation frameworks.
• Experience with performance, stress, and reliability testing.
• Exposure to virtualization and container technologies such as Docker.
• Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies
