Job summary

UST is seeking a Lead I - Semiconductor Product Validation to join our Bengaluru team. You will drive firmware validation, debug, and policy deployment across the fleet, ensuring robust hardware-software interactions from boot to workload execution.

You will work with ARM-based SoC architectures, memory subsystems, PCIe and BMC telemetry, and coordinate remediation for complex hardware/firmware/driver issues, while collaborating with cross-functional teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• BTech in CS or ECE with at least 5+ years of experience in semiconductor/product validation.
• Strong understanding of ARM-based SoC architectures, boot chains, and firmware deployment processes.
• Experience in debugging hardware/firmware/software/OS faults and performing structured RCA.

Responsibilities

• Debug and deploy fault-code policies across fleet
• Analyze firmware deployment, boot flow, and system faults to identify remediation steps
• Develop detection logic and scalable fault codes with remediation actions
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure end-to-end hardware/firmware validation

The Opportunity

UST is looking for Semiconductor Product Validation Engineers.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Debug Engineer with policy development deployment on Fleet must possess a combination of hardware architecture knowledge, firmware/software debugging skills, telemetry analytics expertise, and structured RCA methodology.

Need excellent understanding of the complete infrastructure, firmware architecture, firmware deployment, boot flow analysis, fault-pattern identification, hardware / firmware / software / OS failure isolation, and remediation steps and remediation ownership.

Should Thoroughly Understand

ARM-based SoC architecture CPU cores, cache hierarchy, mesh/interconnect architecture Memory subsystem (DDR5, DIMM topology, memory training) PCIe architecture and device enumeration BMC architecture and telemetry collection NIC/OCP card architecture Storage subsystem Power delivery and board design basics Boot chain (BMC → BIOS/UEFI → OS → Workload) Analysing firmware deployment Boot issues Workload behaviour, Hardware / Firmware / Driver / Software / OS fault identification KQL expertise Should be able to develop and deploy scalable fault-code policies Ability to develop the detection logic Ability to develop investigative fault codes Ability to create automated compliant fault code with remediation actions Fleet-wide prevention mechanisms, etc

Qualification

BTech in Computer Science or ECE. 5+ Years of experience.
