Job summary

Aragen Life Sciences Limited is seeking an EHS professional to independently oversee lab safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within the facility. You will ensure SOP adherence, audit readiness, and proper waste disposal while maintaining critical safety records.

The role emphasizes risk management, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance, with training responsibilities and ongoing monitoring of ISO standards to protect workers and the environment.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to monitor EHS performance and drive continual improvements.
• Knowledge of waste management practices and regulatory compliance.
• Strong documentation of safety records and incident reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all labs follow safety SOPs and are audit ready; highlight deviations if any.
• Conduct EHS training as per the training calendar.
• Continuously monitor ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 at the facility.
• Oversee process safety-related activities and emergency readiness.
• Monitor work premises to ensure safe working conditions and compliance.
• Ensure disposal of solid waste to authorized agencies.
• Maintain MIS, incident records, training records and safety equipment maintenance records.
• Ensure periodical updates of the ELCM tool and implement work permits.

Ability to independently perform the following:

1. 1. Ensure that all labs follow safety SOPs and are audit ready. Highlight deviations if any.
2. 2. Conducting EHS training as per the training calendar.
3. 3. Continuous monitoring of all aspects related to ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 at the facility
4. 4. Process safety experience.
5. 5. Monitoring of work premises to ensure safe working conditions
6. 6. Ensure quenching activities are carried out appropriately.
7. 7. Ensure disposal of solid waste to authorized agencies
8. 8. Follow up of observations w.r.t.to EHS.
9. 9. Timely servicing of safety and emergency equipment
10. 10. Adherence to the statutory requirements
11. 11. Maintain MIS, incident records, training records and safety equipment maintenance records
12. 12. Ensure periodical update of ELCM tool.
13. 13. Ensure work permit system implemented.
