ABO Workplace is seeking a Remote L2 Specialist - Windows Administrator to manage Windows Server environments, provide application support, and collaborate with global teams. The role emphasizes strong Windows and Linux familiarity, AD/DNS/DHCP, and PowerShell automation.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Windows administration experience, relevant certifications, and the ability to work in a distributed team with potential night shifts. This is a remote position with global exposure.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Unix and Windows Server architecture.
- Proficiency with Windows/Unix/Linux OS commands and utilities.
- Proficiency in managing Windows Server environments.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
- Experience with Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper V).
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, Firewalls, VPN).
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge on MS Exchange admin for Exchange 2016/2019 and M365.
- Experience on remote management consoles like Dell IDRAC, HP ILO, VCenter/vSphere.
- Hands-on PowerShell scripting to automate OS and app tasks.
- Hands-on experience of Windows server-side infra and related techs.
- Preferred ISP/Managed Services background and global/remote teams.
- Experience with terminal servers, Windows clustering, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure.
- Experience with blade systems (HP, DELL).
- Patch management tools WSUS, SCCM administration.
- Experience supporting SharePoint, Mobile and IM apps.
- Basic SQL-related queries and Aqua Data Studio.
- Strong ability to debug applications and root-cause analysis.
- Good communication to explain tech problems to stakeholders.
- Experience with enterprise-grade HP and Dell rack servers.

Role: L2 Specialist - Windows Administrator Area: App Bank Location: Remote Mode of Work: Remote App Bank Workplace Specialist: ABO Workplace is seeking a skilled and proactive Windows Administrator with strong application support experience (Specialist) with 3+ years of Windows administration and application support roles. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, configuring and ensuring the stability of windows based systems along with providing application support to end users. This role requires expertise in managing windows servers, troubleshooting system issues and supporting various Linux based application critical to business operations. The candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills; experience in monitoring, operating, implementation support and management of complex Windows infrastructure and be comfortable working in a geographically diverse environment including night shifts if required on a rotational basis.Required: Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. MCSA, MCSE) are highly desirable along with Linux knowledge
- Install, Configure and maintain Windows Servers (e.g. Windows Server 2016/2019/2022)
- Monitor system performance, availability security, ensuring optimal system operation
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and other essential Windows services
- Manage Exchange 2016/2019 server and Office 365 Exchange online environments

- Adopt various tools developed by ETO Engineering team to automate failures using machine learning techniques and notify discrepancies in the health of production and automation of health-restoration, with a focus on continuous measurement of risk and cost.
- Identify alerts / processes that can be automated and then work with Engineering team in automating them

- Challenge existing Infrastructure setup, processing and suggest different ways to solve problem or improve stability

- Strong plus for candidate having working (configure and troubleshoot) experience on breadth of technologies e.g. terminal servers, windows clustering, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure etc.
- Strong plus for experience with various blade systems (HP, DELL etc...)
- Strong plus for experience on patch management tool administration (WSUS, SCCM etc.)
- Experience of supporting, Share Point, Mobile and instant messaging applications
- Basic understanding of SQL Queries and hands on experience with Aqua Data Studio
- Strong ability to debug applications to identify the underlying root cause
- Good communication skills with ability to articulate the technical and functional aspects of a development/production problem to help drive solutions with App Dev teams and senior stakeholders
