Job summary

indiumsoft is seeking an L2.5/L3 Application Maintenance & Support Engineer in Chennai for the Investment Management domain. You will provide code-level support, manage incidents with 24x7 on-call, and collaborate on releases and environment readiness.

The role requires 7+ years IT experience with 2+ years in higher-level production support, strong data engineering concepts, and skills in Python/PLSQL, ReactJS, and APIs. Remote work not indicated, on-site in India.

Qualifications

• Must-have domain expertise in Investment Management or Capital Markets.
• Experience with Aladdin or similar IM platforms (not mandatory).
• 7+ years of IT experience with at least 2 years in L2/L3 production support.
• Strong data engineering concepts and API management experience.
• Hands-on scripting with Python/PLSQL and ReactJS.
• Exposure to RESTful APIs, HTML/CSS, Java microservices, and SDLC processes.
• Familiar with Git/Bitbucket, ticketing tools (ServiceNow/JIRA), and test automation.

Role: L2.5/L3 Application Maintenance & Support Engineer (Investment Management Domain)

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced application support: analyze, debug, and resolve issues at code level across the tech stack.
• Manage incident response and resolution within SLAs, including 24x7 on-call rotation (nights/weekends).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for release management, change coordination, and environment readiness.
• Troubleshoot issues and drive root cause analysis across applications and data workflows.
• Ensure production environments are secure, stable, and aligned with business requirements.
• Participate in disaster recovery and environment setup activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong domain expertise in Investment Management/Capital Markets (must-have, top priority).
• Experience working with peripheral systems integrated with Aladdin or similar IM platforms (Aladdin experience not mandatory).
• 7+ years of IT experience, with at least 2 years in L2.5/L3 production support.
• Strong knowledge of data engineering concepts and exposure to API management for system-to-system data flows.
• Hands-on experience with scripting (Python/PLSQL) and ReactJS.
• Exposure to one or more: Restful APIs, HTML, CSS, Java Microservices.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes, Git/Bitbucket, and test automation.
• Experience with incident/problem lifecycle management and ticketing tools (ServiceNow/JIRA).
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills; able to work independently and within teams.

Optional / Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Linux/Windows OS, batch monitoring tools (Autosys, Ctrl-M), and databases (MS SQL, Snowflake).
• Experience with visualization/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Practical exposure to web development, microservices, Docker/Kubernetes.
• Basic understanding of statistical theory, financial instruments, and markets.
