Job summary

Ericsson GmbH in Noida is seeking an experienced L1 Fault Management Engineer to join our Network Operations team. The role supports 24x7 global operations through alarm monitoring, fault analysis, and incident management across RAN, IP transport, Core, and Transmission networks.

You will monitor alarms, perform first-level fault analysis, correlate incidents, and coordinate with L2/L3 and field teams to restore services within SLA.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in telecom network operations or L1 fault management.
• Strong knowledge of fault management, alarm correlation and SLA management.
• ITIL Foundation or Ericsson/Cisco certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms and perform first-level fault analysis using OSS/NMS and EMS tools.
• Correlate alarms, initiate RCA, prioritize incidents, and coordinate with L2/L3 and field teams to restore services within SLA.
• Manage incidents end-to-end and support problem, change and major incident management per ITIL and Ericsson GSC standards.
• Identify recurring faults, improve monitoring processes, and prepare fault trend and network health reports.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, runbooks, knowledge articles, and ensure smooth shift handovers.
• Mentor junior engineers and support onboarding and training.

About the Opportunity

What You Will Do

• Monitor alarms and perform first-level fault analysis using Ericsson OSS/NMS and multi-vendor EMS tools.
• Correlate alarms, conduct initial RCA, prioritize incidents, and coordinate with L2/L3 and field teams to restore services within SLA.
• Manage incidents from detection through closure and support problem, change, and major incident management in line with ITIL and Ericsson GSC standards.
• Identify recurring faults, improve monitoring and alarm processes, and prepare fault trend, network health, and performance reports.
• Maintain accurate documentation, SOPs, runbooks, knowledge articles, and shift handovers.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team onboarding and training.

What You Bring

• 3–10 years of experience in telecom network operations or L1 fault management.
• Strong expertise in one or more domains: RAN (2G/3G/4G/5G), IP transport, Core (MSC/EPC/IMS/5GC), or Transmission (SDH/DWDM/Microwave/Packet Transport).
• Knowledge of fault management, alarm correlation, performance monitoring, SLA management, and ITIL processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, ownership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Willingness to work 24x7 rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• ITIL Foundation or relevant Ericsson/Cisco certification is preferred.
