Job summary

Rarr Technologies is seeking an experienced production support engineer to diagnose and resolve incidents across the full stack. You will work with AKS-hosted microservices, event streaming systems like Kafka and Azure Event Hub, and observability tools to identify root causes and craft durable fixes.

The role requires hands-on experience with Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and PagerDuty, plus strong SQL/Postgres skills. A willingness to work rotating 24x7 shifts is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in application production support with incident diagnosis and resolution.
• Strong knowledge of event streaming platforms, integration middleware, AKS-hosted microservices, and observability tooling.
• Proficient with incident lifecycle management in ticketing systems (iTrack or equivalent).
• Hands-on with Splunk, PagerDuty, Prometheus, and Grafana for troubleshooting.
• Experience with Kubernetes on AKS, including pod diagnostics and health checks.
• Practical knowledge of Confluent Kafka and Azure Event Hub for message flow troubleshooting.
• Solid SQL/Postgres skills for data-level investigation.
• Ability to read Java, Spring Boot, and React logs for issue identification.
• Basic Python scripting for checks and quick fixes.
• Good Linux/Unix command-line skills for real-time analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication for incident updates and client coordination.
• Willingness to work in rotational 24x7 shifts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose incidents and drive root-cause analysis to resolution.
• Monitor and troubleshoot across the full tech stack including AKS, Kafka, and observability tools.
• Document incident investigations and resolutions for knowledge base and clients.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate runbooks and support documentation.

• 3+ years of experience in application production support with a strong track record of independently diagnosing and resolving incidents.
• Solid working knowledge of the full technology stack in scope including event streaming platforms, integration middleware, AKS-hosted microservices, and observability tooling.
• Hands‑on experience with incident lifecycle management in ticketing systems (iTrack or equivalent), including root cause identification and resolution documentation.
• Proficient with Splunk, PagerDuty, Prometheus, and Grafana for active troubleshooting and issue resolution, not just monitoring.
• Hands‑on operational experience with Kubernetes, especially Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including pod‑level diagnostics, restarts, and health investigation.
• Practical working knowledge of Confluent Kafka and Azure Event Hub: consumer lag analysis, topic health checks, and message flow troubleshooting.
• Solid SQL/Postgres skills for data‑level investigation and validation during incidents.
• Working ability to read and interpret Java, Spring Boot, and React application logs for issue identification.
• Basic Python scripting capability for operational checks and quick‑fix automation.
• Good Linux/Unix command‑line skills for real‑time log analysis and system diagnostics.
