Senior Product Manager - Lead Distribution & Merchant ROI

About The Role

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own how leads get distributed across our merchant base, from the algorithms that route enquiries to the systems that keep merchants engaged and paying. This is a high-leverage role: get it right, and merchants trust the platform enough to renew. Get it wrong, and they churn. You'll sit at the intersection of data, product, and revenue.

What You'll Own

• Lead distribution engine: Design and evolve the logic that routes incoming leads to merchants based on proximity, response history, and category fit. Fix structural problems like leads clustering on a handful of top merchants while others go quiet.
• Vendor trust and responsiveness scoring: Build a scoring system that rewards merchants who respond fast and reliably, and flags ones who are ghosting leads, so distribution can adapt in real time.
• Merchant re-engagement: When leads go unanswered, design the automated nudges (WhatsApp, IVR, push) that recover them and route them to someone who'll actually respond.
• Client ROI: Translate raw distribution data into a clear story merchants understand: what they paid, what they got, and why it's working, via dashboards and proactive health alerts before renewal conversations happen.
• Diagnosis and iteration: Use SQL and cohort analysis to find where the system is leaking value: which merchants get zero leads, which cities have latency problems, which categories are mismatched.

What Makes Someone Succeed Here

• Comfortable writing SQL queries themselves, not just requesting them. This role requires digging into data hands-on.
• Can tell the difference between a lead-quality signal (proximity, intent, specificity) and a business metric (renewal rate, credit usage), and won't confuse the two when designing a scoring model.
• Has actually worked on a marketplace, directory, or lead-gen product before.

Requirements

• 5 to 8+ years in product management, with 3+ years specifically on lead distribution, ranking, or marketplace allocation problems.
• Strong SQL; working knowledge of Python/R and A/B testing methodology.
• Track record of measurably reducing churn or improving lead-to-conversion rates at scale.
• Deep familiarity with local search, directory, or hyper-local service marketplaces (B2B or B2C).
