Job description

At The Whole Truth, our mission is to ‘re-build the world’s trust in its food’. Consumers have lost faith in big food companies that hide behind misleading claims. We exist to change that with honesty, simplicity, and unmissable storytelling.
We are India’s first (and maybe only) 100% Clean Label food brand. That means we proudly declare every single ingredient on the front of the pack. But that’s not all…We don’t just make products. We build brand love. Loudly, proudly, and consistently through content, community, and creative campaigns that break clutter. And now, we’re ready to scale that brand love even further through smart, memorable, and well-placed media. That’s where you come in.
About the job:

As Product Manager, you will drive conversion strategy, and platform performance health - not as separate silos, but as a unified growth system.

You will work on the customer journey from discovery to repeat purchase, with a focus on:

  • Acquisition & Growth Mechanics - funnel expansion, traffic quality, unit economics
  • Conversion Optimization (CRO) - pricing strategy, checkout friction, payment flows, A/B testing
  • Platform Performance & Health - site speed, mobile experience, scalability as revenue and SKUs grow
  • Growth Experimentation - demand forecasting, cohort analysis, LTV optimization
Technical Capabilities Required

You must understand e-commerce platform architecture and growth data infrastructure:

  • E-Commerce Platforms (Medusa, Shopify, Magento, or equivalent) - not engineer-level, but enough to scope features, understand OMS integrations, and spot technical debt
  • Order Management Systems - how inventory, fulfillment, and returns flow; impact on unit economics
  • Payment Gateways & APIs (Razorpay, Stripe, PayU, or equivalent) - payment method economics, MDR, failure scenarios
  • Modern Web Stack Basics (Next.js, React, or equivalent frameworks) - not to code, but to communicate with the engineering team about feasibility and performance tradeoffs
  • Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or equivalent) - understand how infrastructure choices impact speed and cost
  • Analytics & Data Query (GA4, SQL, or equivalent) - ability to extract funnel data, cohort analysis, and demand signals independently
  • Data Visualization Tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent) - build dashboards, spot trends, and communicate insights to leadership
Functional Capabilities Required

Funnel & Conversion Mastery:

  • Conversion psychology and friction identification
  • A/B testing framework (design, statistical rigor, rollout)
  • Pricing strategy (MRP, discounts, bundle mechanics, clearance)

Growth & Unit Economics:

  • CAC (customer acquisition cost) by channel
  • ROAS (return on ad spend) optimization
  • LTV & repeat purchase rate mechanics
  • Demand forecasting and supply planning inputs
  • Vendor P&L (how do changes in unit economics ripple through the P&L)

Own the Product Roadmap:

  • Dependency management (what blocks this feature, what does it unblock)
  • Velocity forecasting and scope discipline
  • Own weekly standups with vendors and internal cross-functional teams (design, engineering, data, retention)
  • Creation of reports for stakeholders and leadership focused on metrics and growth levers
  • Bias toward written specs and clear success metrics
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the acquisition & conversion funnel — traffic quality, drop-off diagnosis, optimization roadmap
  • Drive CRO experiments — define hypothesis, success criteria, and rollout strategy in collaboration with the engineering team
  • Manage platform performance & health — prioritize improvements that unblock growth and enable scalability
  • Demand forecasting & planning inputs — feed category trends, promotional calendars, and supply constraints into planning
  • Pricing & discount strategy — recommend promotional mechanics, discount structures, and A/B test opportunities
  • Analytics & data fluency — pull your own data queries, spot anomalies, and brief the team
  • Own the product roadmap — triage the backlog quarterly, scope priorities, and communicate trade-offs to leadership
Required Skills & Experience
  • 2–4 years as a Product Manager, preferably in D2C, e-commerce, or high-growth startups
  • Hands-on CRO experience — shipped multiple A/B tests with measurable lift
  • Design tool literacy — can read specs, comment on designs, and iterate with design partners
  • Analytics proficiency — custom events, funnels, cohort analysis, basic troubleshooting
  • E-commerce platform knowledge — or willingness to learn fast
  • India D2C context — understanding of Indian customer behavior, payment methods, logistics, and price sensitivity is a strong plus
