Job summary

MSA Instruments is seeking a Junior Service Technician (ITI) to provide installation, inspection, servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting and testing of industrial instrumentation and automation equipment at company offices, project sites and customer locations.

The role requires ITI in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation and 0–2 years of experience or fresh ITI candidates with strong technical aptitude. Willingness to travel and adherence to safety procedures will be essential.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of industrial electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Knowledge of wiring, cable termination and basic electrical components.
• Basic understanding of technical drawings and instrument manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, commissioning and servicing of process instruments and automation equipment.
• Support senior service engineers in installation and testing of pressure, temperature, level, flow and other measuring instruments.
• Must have knowledge of basic instrument wiring, cable termination, loop checking and electrical connections.
• Carry out calibration and troubleshooting of transmitters, sensors and field instruments.
• Assist in basic PLC, HMI, control panel and automation-related activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Must understand basic wiring diagrams, instrument datasheets and technical manuals.
• Prepare basic service reports, site observations and job completion records.
• Visit customer plants, factories and industrial sites for installation, maintenance and service activities.
• Follow all safety procedures and customer-site requirements.
• Coordinate with Senior Service Engineers and other departments for timely completion of assigned work.
