Job summary

Asha Lube Solutions in Hyderabad, India is seeking a Quality Inspector to inspect incoming materials, verify dimensions and GD&T against drawings, and prepare inspection reports to uphold quality standards.

You will coordinate with vendors for manufacturing follow-up, maintain BOMs, and operate precision instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, and Height Gauge. Collaboration with Design, Production, and Procurement teams is essential to ensure timely material supply.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Fresher to 1 year of experience in Quality Inspection or Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings is required.
• Experience with BOM management and quality records is a plus.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming quality inspection of manufactured components received from vendors.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, and specifications as per engineering drawings and approved standards.
• Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports for all inspected materials.
• Identify non-conforming materials and report deviations to the concerned department.
• Follow up with vendors regarding manufacturing progress, inspection status, delivery schedules, and quality-related issues to ensure timely material availability.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve manufacturing and quality concerns.
• Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) accurately.
• Ensure proper documentation of inspection records and quality reports.

Required Qualifications

Experience Required

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing standards.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, including:
• Vernier Caliper
• Micrometer
• Height Gauge
• Ability to prepare inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
• Basic knowledge of BOM (Bill of Materials) management.
• Understanding of machining processes, manufacturing methods, and quality inspection procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or prior experience in Quality Inspection, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or Vendor Quality.
• Familiarity with engineering documentation and inspection procedures.
• Knowledge of ISO quality systems will be an added advantage.
