Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of raw materials and components.

• Identify and report non-conforming materials and coordinate with suppliers for corrective actions.
• Communicate with suppliers and close NCRs, CAPA, and 8D reports.

• Assist QA Head in supplier audits, internal audits, and customer audits.
• Update inspection status and quality records in the ERP system.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen and CIP initiatives within quality function.

JOB LOCATION: Vengaivasal, Chennai.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform incoming inspection of raw materials, bought-out parts and components received from suppliers.
• Carry out in-process inspection and pre-dispatch inspection (PDI) to ensure product conformity.
• Verify products against engineering drawings, specifications, control plans and quality standards.
• Identify and report non - conforming materials/products and coordinate with suppliers for corrective actions.
• Communicate with suppliers and follow up on NCRs, CAPA and 8D reports to ensure timely closure.
• Maintain inspection records and quality documentation in accordance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 requirements.
• Assist the QA Head in supplier audits, internal audits and customer audit activities.
• Support supplier selection, supplier performance evaluation and monthly supplier rating.
• Prepare incoming inspection reports, supplier quality performance reports and other MIS reports.
• Update inspection status and quality records in the ERP system.
• Ensure implementation of 5S, Kaizen and Continuous Improvement (CIP) initiatives within the quality function.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Educational Qualification: ITI (Automobile related trades) / Diploma / B.E. (Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Mechatronics)
• Experience: Freshers or 1 + years of work experience.
