Interior design project managers typically have a wide rangeof responsibilities, which can include:
- Meeting with clients to discuss their needs andpreferences in detail, including any specialconsiderations or concerns.
- Make a proper survey of the site, take the finalmeasurements and correlate with thedrawings and ensure all the features of the site arewell understood.
- Take proper details from Designer, make sure nothing ismissed out and all the specificationsare there in the drawing.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendorsfor the flawless execution ofprojects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, withinscope and within budget
- Ensure all the materials that come to the site aredefect free and as per the specifications that areagreed.
- Ensure there are no snags in the works undertaken by thevendors and the modularinstallation team.
- Ensure there are no snags in the works undertaken by thevarious vendors such as electrical vendors, falseceiling vendors.
- Assist in the definition of project scope andobjectives, involving all relevant stakeholdersand ensuring technical feasibility
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and trackprogress.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project scheduleand project costs using appropriateverification techniques.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools andtechniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Manage the relationship with the client and allstakeholders.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members'individual strengths, skill sets andexperience levels.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze thesuccessful completion of short andlong-term goals.
- Use and continually develop leadership skills.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps todocument needs.
- Preparing progress reports for clients on a regularbasis throughout the duration of theproject.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in the appropriate field of study orequivalent work experience
- Experience in Interior Fit-out
- Excellent client-handling and internal communicationskills
- Coordinating and communicating with various internalfunctions and departments.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Googlesheets etc.
- Strong Analytical skills
- Candidate must be capable of handling multiplesmall-scale projects at a time.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of Design
- Working knowledge on Scheduling
- Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE IIcertification is a plus
