Magus Designs in Jaipur seeks a driven Junior Product Designer to contribute to bespoke residential and commercial furniture and interior projects. You will support design development, create technical drawings, select materials, and collaborate with the Senior Designer to ensure precise execution.

The role emphasizes proficiency in AutoCAD and Rhino, an eye for detail, and interest in luxury design. Regular factory visits and collaboration with vendors will be part of the duties.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Furniture Design, Interior Design, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in furniture design, luxury interiors, or bespoke furniture development.
• Portfolio showing furniture design, 3D modelling, technical drawings, or interior projects.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and motivated Junior Product Designer to join our team in Jaipur. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in luxury furniture design, a good understanding of materials and craftsmanship, and the ability to translate design concepts into functional and aesthetically refined solutions.

This role offers an opportunity to work on bespoke residential and commercial projects, contributing to the development of high-end furniture and interior design solutions. The candidate will work closely with and report to the Senior Designer, assisting with design development, technical drawings, material selection, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Furniture Design & Technical Knowledge

• Develop a strong understanding of furniture design, ergonomics, proportions, construction techniques, and industry standards.
• Assist in designing bespoke furniture pieces that balance aesthetics, functionality, comfort, and durability.
• Support the development of in-house furniture collections and custom furniture integrated into residential and commercial projects.

2. Design Development & Planning

• Assist the Senior Designer in developing creative concepts, design layouts, and furniture solutions.
• Translate design concepts into detailed drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation.
• Work on design revisions and detailing to ensure accuracy and alignment with the overall design vision.
• Support the execution of design concepts from initial development through production and installation.

3. Technical Skills & Software Proficiency

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino) for technical drawings, shop drawings, and 3D modelling.
• Ability to prepare accurate drawings and communicate design intent clearly to the Senior Designer, vendors, and manufacturing teams.

4. AI & Digital Design Tools

• Hands-on experience with AI-powered design tools and platforms to support concept development, visualization, and creative exploration.

5. Material Research & Selection

• Assist in researching and sourcing premium materials, finishes, fabrics, hardware, and furniture components.
