Job summary

Bobst India in India is seeking a seasoned Mechanical/Production Engineer to manage a large manufacturing workforce and ensure timely, quality production aligned with the plan.

The role demands hands-on experience in fabrication, laser, CNC/VMC/HMC, and SAP, with leadership to improve productivity and workplace safety across the assembly line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical/Production Engineering with 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience managing a workforce of ~20–30 team members and leading a manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

• Responsible for managing a workforce of approximately 2030 employees.
• Accountable for ensuring timely production of manufacturing parts in line with the production plan while maintaining quality standard, operator productivity, and workplace safety.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure tasks are executed in the most effective manner in- regards to time, cost, and function.
• Show top notch craftsmanship in all aspects of job.
• Give direction to technician.
• Should be a good team leader and need to handle a team of 20 to 30 people.
• Strive for ongoing self-improvement through additional training.
• Produce high quality parts with low rejection rate.
• Be a team player and contributor in shop.
• Show mutual respect for coworkers.
• Improve Work culture in Manufacturing shop and build good relationship with CFT.

Critical Skills and Personal Attributes

• Hands on experience in Fabrication shop on Laser machine and laser nesting Bending and Welding machines.
• Hands on SAP Knowledge and Skill.
• Hands on experience on CNC , VMC, HMC and conventional machine will be added advantage .
• Knowledge relates to ISO 9000 standard, BCMS (Business Continuity Management System)
• Good communication skill to deal with other function.
• Self-motivated

Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical/Production Engineering with 7 to 10 years relevant experience.
