GMR Group seeks an Associate Manager – Compliance to plan, execute, and track audits across aerodrome infrastructure and operations in line with DGCA CARs, ICAO Annex 14, and PANS-Aerodrome. You will work under the Sr.

Specialist – Compliance Audit to ensure licensing and regulatory adherence and drive safety improvements. The role involves coordinating audits, reporting findings to the Compliance Review Committee, and enabling timely closure of non-compliances.

Qualifications

5 to 7 years of experience in aviation, with a minimum of 3 years in airside operations, safety, or planning.
Graduation in engineering or equivalent technical discipline is preferred.
Familiarity with DGCA CARs, ICAO Annex 14, PANS-Aerodromes and related regulatory frameworks is desirable.

Responsibilities

Plan and maintain an annual compliance audit calendar aligned with DGCA/ICAO requirements.
Coordinate with operational units to schedule and execute audits across aerodrome infrastructure and functions.
Support audits for new infrastructure prior to commissioning and ensure timely reporting of results.
Close non-compliances by coordinating with relevant departments and tracking remediation.
Prepare structured audit reports and presentations for Compliance Review Committee.
Monitor regulatory amendments and update audit checklists accordingly.
Audit key areas such as Aprons, Taxiways, Runways, ARFF, AOCC, Wildlife Management, AGL, Drainage, and PMS and assess system compliance.
Support Safety MIS & KPI reporting and contribute to automation of reporting formats.

JOB PURPOSE

The Associate Manager – Compliance is responsible for planning, executing, and tracking compliance audits across all aerodrome infrastructure, systems, and operational functions in accordance with DGCA CARs, ICAO Annex 14, PANS-Aerodrome, and other applicable standards. This role ensures adherence to aerodrome licensing requirements, regulatory obligations, and implementation of operational procedures, while supporting continuous improvement of safety and regulatory compliance frameworks at IGIA under the guidance of Sr. Specialist – Compliance Audit.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Compliance Audit Planning, Coordination & Execution

Prepare and maintain an annual compliance audit calendar in alignment with DGCA/ICAO requirements.
Coordinate with operational units to schedule and execute audits across aerodrome infrastructure and functional areas.
Plan and support execution of compliance audits for new infrastructure prior to commissioning.
Monitor audit completion against planned targets and ensure timely reporting.
Ensure coordination with concerned departments for closure of non-compliances.
Follow up on open audit findings until effective closure is achieved.
Prepare structured audit reports and presentations for Compliance Review Committee.

Regulatory Communication & Checklist Management

Continuously monitor amendments in DGCA CARs, ICAO Annex 14, PANS-Aerodromes, ADM / ASM, etc.
Disseminate regulatory changes to relevant stakeholders with implementation timelines.
Review and update audit checklists for each function / unit based on regulatory amendments and operational learnings.

Regulatory Communication & Checklist Management - KPIs

Number of regulatory amendments communicated and tracked
Number of version-controlled checklist reviews conducted per year

Functional Area Compliance & Technical Evaluation

Conduct audits of key operational areas and functions such as Aprons, Taxiways, Runways, ARFF, AOCC, Wildlife Management, AGL, Drainage, and PMS, airport systems.
Verify compliance of physical characteristics, obstacle clearance, surface conditions, markings, lighting, rescue and firefighting, and data publication.
Review and validate compliance of aerodrome operations procedures like LVP, emergency planning, and wildlife hazard management.
Assist in review of Runway Safety Team findings, friction reports, and condition assessments.

Functional Area Compliance & Technical Evaluation - KPIs

% of critical infrastructure areas (runways/taxiways) audited per quarter
Number of technical deviations raised and mitigated

Safety MIS & KPI Reporting

Prepare, update, and maintain comprehensive Safety MIS and KPIs dashboards as per defined reporting frequencies â daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.
Support in preparation of regulatory reports and internal management reviews, ensuring consistency and completeness of safety data.
Contribute to automation and enhancement of reporting formats for improved visualization, trend analysis, and decision support.
