Role Description

The Junior Interior Designer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. In this role, the designer supports senior team members in developing interior concepts, preparing mood boards, and assisting with space planning and layout options for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and updating construction and interior drawings, coordinating FF&E selections, and assisting with specifications and documentation. The designer collaborates with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure design intent is maintained during execution, including occasional site visits. This position involves participating in client meetings, capturing requirements, preparing presentations, and contributing to the smooth delivery of turnkey projects.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to translate client requirements into functional layouts.
• Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings, including basic understanding of building materials, detailing, and coordination with site teams.
• Experience or coursework related to FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), including selection, sourcing, and specification.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic skills in presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva).
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks under guidance.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
