Job summary

Jobtailor in Visakhapatnam is seeking an adept Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform field rounds, implement LOTO procedures, troubleshoot plant electricals, and coordinate with Process team to support operations.

You will join under Electrical Shift In Charge, conduct preventive maintenance, participate in shutdowns, and ensure safety and teamwork while maintaining LT/HT equipment.

Qualifications

• DEEE with 3-4 years of industrial experience or B Tech (EEE) with 2-3 years of industrial experience.
• Experience in operation and maintenance of electrical installations of a process plant.
• Academic percentage at least 60%.
• Hands-on experience with LT/HT motor starter feeders and breakers.
• Hands-on experience with LT/HT MCC and PCC.
• Experience with AC/DC variable speed drives and power distribution.
• Experience with 11 kV plinth-mounted substations and motors.
• Experience with UPS, diesel generators, earth pits/grids.
• Willingness to work with hands and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field rounds to assess equipment condition and log parameters.

• Conduct field rounds to assess the condition of electrical equipment and log operational parameters
• Implement LOTO procedures
• Troubleshoot and rectify electrical problems arising during plant operations, including breakdowns
• Coordinate closely with the Process team to support effective plant operations and process requirements
• Work under the supervision and control of the Electrical Shift In Charge
• Perform preventive maintenance of electrical equipment
• Participate in critical electrical equipment maintenance activities in coordination with other staff
• Report irregularities and deficiencies in electrical systems to the Shift In Charge and the next management level
• Participate in plant shutdown maintenance work

Requirements

• DEEE with minimum 3-4 years of industrial experience, or B Tech (EEE) with minimum 2-3 years of industrial experience
• Experience in operation and maintenance of electrical installations of a process plant
