Job summary

Kelkar Auto Parts in Maharashtra seeks a fresh Mechanical Engineering graduate to support day-to-day production and shop-floor activities, read engineering drawings, monitor processes, and assist in setting up machines and lines.

Candidates with internship or project experience in manufacturing will have an advantage; freshers are welcome. Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, and safety standards is valued for continuous improvements on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day production and shop-floor activities.
• Monitor production processes and adherence to schedules.
• Understand sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores.

• Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and specifications.
• Monitor material usage, rejection, rework, and productivity.
• Ensure quality and safety standards on the shop floor.
• Help identify production problems and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain production records, reports, and process documentation.
• Support 5S, Kaizen, productivity improvement, and waste-reduction initiatives.
• Learn and follow company SOPs, work instructions, and quality procedures.
