Job summary

Marutee in Bengaluru, Karnataka seeks an experienced Design and Development engineer for EV traction motors and motor controllers, to push concepts to production readiness.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate designs and ensure integration with the overall EV powertrain. You will work hands-on with PMSM/BLDC motor development, controller design, and testing activities to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics
• 4–6 years in EV design and development
• Experience with traction motors and motor controllers
• Knowledge of CAN/LIN communication protocols

Responsibilities

• Support motor and controller development for EV programs from concept to production readiness.
• Prepare technical specifications, SOR, and system requirement documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of EV traction motor technologies (PMSM, BLDC, induction motors).
• Knowledge of motor design principles including electromagnetic design, thermal management, and efficiency optimization.
• Experience in motor controller development, inverter design, and power electronics.
• Knowledge of motor control algorithms such as FOC (Field Oriented Control).
• Experience in dyno testing, motor performance characterization, and system validation.
• Understanding of EV powertrain architecture and vehicle integration.
• Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN/LIN) and automotive electronics architecture.
