Job summary

The role involves supervising day-to-day civil construction activities, coordinating with contractors, checking work against drawings, and maintaining site records. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering, is willing to work on-site, and has strong communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering required.
• 1–2 years of experience in building construction.
• Willing to work at site near Ahmedabad.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to read civil/structural drawings.
• Knowledge of quantity measurement and billing.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities at site as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure work is carried out as per project schedule, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Read and understand structural, architectural and civil drawings.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, supervisors and other site engineers.
• Check levels, dimensions, alignment and quality of civil works.
• Monitor activities such as RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, finishing and other civil works.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports and site records.
• Take measurements of completed work and assist in preparation/checking of bills.
• Coordinate with the planning, billing, QA/QC and project management teams.
• Identify site issues and coordinate for timely resolution.
• Ensure proper use and storage of construction materials at site.
• Follow company safety procedures and ensure safe working practices at site.
• Assist senior engineers and project managers in achieving project targets and completing work within the required time.

Yashnand Engineers & Contractors Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Junior Civil Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in building construction for our project sites in and around Ahmedabad. The candidate should have a Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering and should be willing to work at site. The role will involve supervision of day-to-day civil construction activities, coordination with contractors and site staff, checking of work as per drawings and specifications, quality monitoring, measurements and maintaining daily site records. Candidates with good technical knowledge, a willingness to learn and a responsible approach towards site work will be preferred.
