Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dedicated dialysis technician to operate haemodialysis machines and prepare circuits for patient treatment. The role includes labeling with patient identifiers, preparing bicarbonate solutions, and explaining procedures to patients to ease anxiety.

You will connect patient access sites, monitor machine performance, and maintain accurate logbooks and records as part of routine care in a high-standard clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates haemodialysis machine to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure.
• Attach dialyser and tubing to machine and prime the extracorporeal circuits with 0.9% normal saline to prepare machine for use.
• Label dialyser & blood lines with patient name & ID prior to the first use (excluded single use).
• Preparing dialysis solutions and mixing bicarbonate according to formula
• Explains dialysis procedure and operation of haemodialysis machine to patient before treatment to allay anxieties.
• Connects haemodialysis machine to patient's access site to initiate dialysis.
• Monitor haemodialysis machine for malfunction.
• Maintain all the log books, forms & registers.
