Job summary

Larsen & Toubro seeks an AI/ML engineer in Chennai to advance digital learning platforms with Generative AI capabilities. You will build AI-powered applications using LLMs, NLP, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases, and connect services via APIs. Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with AI frameworks are required.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype, test, and deploy evolving AI solutions, while staying current on Generative AI trends and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate AI/ML and Generative AI capabilities into digital learning and platform products.
• Build AI-powered applications using LLMs, NLP, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector databases.
• Develop and integrate APIs to connect AI services with existing platform applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code primarily using Python.
• Assist in developing and optimizing prompts for LLM-based applications.
• Support data preprocessing, model evaluation, testing, and basic machine learning workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, UI/UX, Data, and other cross-functional teams to develop technology solutions.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate emerging AI technologies and use cases.
• Support the deployment, debugging, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI-powered applications.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and other software development practices.
• Stay updated on developments in Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, and AI application development.
