Job summary

BDO India is seeking a capable accounting professional to manage end-to-end Indian bookkeeping for multiple clients, including AP, AR, GST, and reconciliations.

You will perform month- and year-end closings, prepare MIS reports, and use Zoho Books and advanced Excel to ensure accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of end-to-end accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, GST, and reconciliations.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Proficiency in Zoho Books and advanced MS Excel.
• Understanding of standard accounting principles and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Indian and domestic accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice processing and vendor payments.
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), invoicing, collections, and customer reconciliations.
• Perform regular bank, vendor, customer, and GL reconciliations.
• Support GST compliance, return preparation, and GST reconciliations.
• Execute month-end closing activities, accruals, and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate financial records and generate MIS reports.
• Utilize Zoho Books effectively and support audit and compliance requirements.

Role & Responsibilities

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of solid experience in end-to-end accounting.
• Core Skills: Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, GST, and financial reconciliations.
• Operations: Hands-on experience with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Zoho Books and advanced MS Excel.
• Knowledge: Good understanding of standard accounting principles and compliance requirements.
• Background Preferences: Experience working with multiple clients/entities; candidates with backgrounds in Consulting Firms or Accounting Outsourcing are strongly preferred.
