Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy invites applications for a role overseeing batch processing in a resin plant environment, including varnish, thinner and recovery sections. The job requires hands-on management of floor activities in a 24x7 shift setup and ensuring materials, process sheets and work instructions are followed.

Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience with Highly Hazardous Chemicals, a B.Sc or M.Sc, and the ability to train workers in safe work practices while contributing to ISO and 5S

Qualifications

• Experience in batch processing of highly hazardous chemicals.
• Education: B.SC or M.SC in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Work in shifts in a 24x7 operating plant to manage floor activities.
• Verify raw materials and intermediates against product name, code, consignment number and quantity.
• Ensure processes follow the work instructions and process sheets.
• Manage overall processing in resin plant, varnish, thinner and recovery areas during shifts.
• Maintain records of observations, RM charging details and test results.
• Communicate deviations or safety and quality issues to the Shift In-Charge.
• Support to sustain and improve ISO 9001, 45001, 18001, six sigma and 5S.
• Follow inspection and verification schedules for critical activities.
• Train workers on safe work practices and handling of materials.
• Suggest improvements to reduce cycle time and conserve resources.
• Record documents related to process parameters and activities.

Responsibilities

• Work in shifts environment where plant is operating 24 X 7 for managing of floor activities.
• Verify all raw materials & intermediates received from stores are as per product name, product code, consignment number & in required quantity.
• Ensure the process activities as per the relevant work instruction cum process sheet.
• Responsible for overall processing activity within resin plant, varnish section, thinner section and recovery area in respective shifts.
• Keeping records of observations, RM charging details, test results as per work instructions cum process sheet.
• Communicate effectively to Shift In-Charge for any deviation, abnormality, any safety & quality related issues.
• Support to sustain & improve systems as laid down by the management viz. ISO 9001, 45001, 18001, six sigma & 5S etc.
• Ensure to follow inspection & verification schedule for critical activities in plant.
• To train the workmen on safe work practice, handling of materials and other relevant activities required for manufacturing.
• Suggest & participate to implement it for improvement in processes for reduction in cycle time, resource conservation activities etc.
• Ensure all documents related to process parameters and other relevant activities are appropriately recorded.
• 2-5 years with batch processing experience of Highly hazardous chemicals.
