Job Description

The Jr. Consultant – Cardiology is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients with cardiovascular conditions in coordination with senior cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams. The includes conducting clinical assessments, reviewing diagnostic investigations, developing treatment plans, participating in ward rounds, and responding to cardiac emergencies. The consultant supports continuity of cardiac care, accurate clinical documentation, patient education, and adherence to hospital protocols and professional standards.

• Assess patients presenting with cardiovascular symptoms and conditions.
• Obtain detailed medical histories and perform cardiovascular examinations.
• Review ECGs, echocardiograms, laboratory reports, and other cardiac investigations.
• Develop and implement treatment plans within the scope of clinical privileges.
• Participate in inpatient rounds and outpatient consultations.
• Monitor patients clinical progress and response to treatment.
• Recognize and manage cardiac emergencies within authorized competency.
• Coordinate with senior cardiologists regarding complex or high-risk cases.
• Evaluate patients with chest pain, arrhythmias, heart failure, and other cardiac conditions.
• Recommend further investigations based on clinical findings.
• Prescribe and review medications according to clinical guidelines and hospital protocols.
