Job summary

Hayakawa Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced New Product Development engineer to drive end-to-end development of automotive wiring harnesses and related components.

You will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, marketing and sales to deliver innovative solutions from concept through market release. The role requires 5+ years in NPD, strong project management and knowledge of APQP/PPAP and IATF-16949, with hands-on prototyping and testing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in new product development.
• Proven track record of bringing products to mass production.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Must have knowledge of APQP/PPAP/ISO/IATF-16949

Responsibilities

• Analyse new components, materials and technologies for product development.
• Oversee new parts development per IATF-16949/ISO.
• Lead PDS projects from concept to market release.
• Collaborate with PE, manufacturing, marketing and sales.
• Develop products meeting customer requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments and cost analyses.
• Create and maintain documentation including specs, test plans and reports.
• Prototype development, testing and validation.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Provide lifecycle technical support post-launch.
• Conduct design reviews and prototype testing to validate new products.
• Maintain BOM, specs, drawings, testing protocols and project plans.
• Coordinate with suppliers for sourcing materials and components.
• Analyze and resolve design/manufacturing issues.

Job Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
