Cloudxtreme in Hyderabad, India is seeking a Jira Administrator/Developer to configure and extend Jira projects, workflows, and permissions. Qualifications

  • 3+ years in Jira administration and/or development (or equivalent experience).
  • Hands-on experience with Jira REST APIs and building integrations.
  • Proficiency in Groovy for Jira scripting/automation.
  • Proficiency in Python for API integrations, automation jobs, and data/reporting pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban), SDLC, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and extend Jira projects, workflows, screens, issue types, fields, permissions, and notifications.
  • Build integrations and automation services using Groovy and Python.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, filters, JQL queries, and operational reporting.
  • Integrate Jira with Confluence, Bitbucket/GitHub, CI/CD tools, chat/notification tools, IT service tools, and identity providers (SSO).
  • Troubleshoot configuration and integration issues; perform root‑cause analysis and improve performance/reliability.
  • Manage environments (dev/test/prod), releases, change control, and documentation; provide admin/user enablement.
  • Apply security best practices (least privilege, auditability, data handling, retention) in configurations and integrations.

Key responsibilities
  • Configure and extend Jira projects, workflows, screens, issue types, fields, permissions, and notifications.
  • Build custom solutions using:
  • Atlassian Forge and/or Atlassian Connect
  • Jira REST APIs, webhooks, and authentication (OAuth/API tokens)
  • Develop scripted automations and extensions using Groovy (commonly via ScriptRunner or equivalent tooling, where used).
  • Build integrations and automation services using Python (e.g., calling Jira APIs, processing events, syncing data with other platforms).
  • Create and maintain dashboards, filters, JQL queries, and operational reporting.
  • Integrate Jira with Confluence, Bitbucket/GitHub, CI/CD tools, chat/notification tools, IT service tools, and identity providers (SSO).
  • Troubleshoot configuration and integration issues; perform root-cause analysis and improve performance/reliability.

  • Experience with integration middleware (e.g., iPaaS), event‑driven architectures, or message queues.
  • Atlassian certifications (Jira Administration) are a plus.
