Job summary

Important Group seeks a Java Lead in Mumbai with 8+ years of experience to drive world-class fintech product development. You will shape technology strategy, mentor teams, and ensure delivery excellence across Agile teams. Prior hands-on development experience and leadership in complex projects are required.

The role emphasizes strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and strong communication skills, with reporting to the CTO. Location is Thane Head Office, Mumbai.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field; MBA/MS/M.Tech/MCA preferred.
• Proven leadership experience in fintech/digital payments or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum and ability to drive delivery.
• Hands-on software development experience in the past.

Responsibilities

• Drive fintech product development with agility and efficiency.
• Define and evolve tech strategy supporting Invoicemart product roadmaps.
• Provide technical and project leadership to deliver software solutions.
• Plan and manage Agile/Sprint activities to meet delivery milestones.

• Experience: Prior experience of 8-10 years
• Education: Bachelors Degree, MBA, MS, M.Tech, MCA (Computer Science/IT)
• Certification: Product Management Training, Leadership and Management Training
• Skills: Strategic Thinking, Leadership, Communication Skills, Agile Methodologies, Team Collaboration
• Excellent people management skills including leadership, development and coaching skills.
• Industry: Fintech/Digital Payments/Financial Services/Banks/NBFC/Supply Chain Finance/ Trade Finance/ Invoice Discounting Platform/Commercial Banking/Investment Banking/Venture Capital/Micro Finance/Capital Loan
• Key Skills: Candidate must have prior working knowledge as-well-as experience in Agile / Scrum practices with ability to Plan and Manage tasks, teams w.r.t key organizational as well as project deliverables. Candidate must also have had hands-on developer experience in the past.
• Additional Skills: Any experience on working on Java Springboot Microservices will be a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Driving a world-class fintech product development for the organization to create best-in-class products through continuous improvement, agility, and high efficiency.
2. Define, implement, and evolve a business strategy through technology research using data that will lead to the origination of new business services or advancement of existing businesses across Invoicemart.
3. Act as an owner to execute Invoicemart product strategy and vision.
4. Provide project & technical leadership to deliver software solutions that exceed customer and stakeholder expectations. Drive innovative development processes across the Product Development organization, including movement toward agile.
5. Manage timely software and product deliverables by meticulous Agile / Sprint planning.
6. Be responsible for key technical areas of core products and services. Constantly pursue and learn industry leading/innovative solutions.
7. Drive cross-functional success by collaborating with leadership from Sales, Operationand business.
8. Updating the technical competitiveness of existing products.
9. Development and execution of short- and long-term product roadmaps.
10. Introduction of new potential technologies.
11. Driving the development of the new generation products in line with market needs.
12. Foster individual, team, and organization growth, while maintaining a strong, inclusive, customer-focused culture. Facilitate rapid hiring and onboarding of dynamic, diverse engineering talent.
13. Create, communicate, and track key performance and delivery metrices on the efficiency of the Product Development team, and on the delivery of projects that drive critical business initiatives.
