Job summary

Iris Software, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Java Architect to define and lead enterprise architecture for critical applications across Noida, Gurgaon and Pune. You will shape modernization, drive microservices strategies, and ensure secure, scalable platforms while mentoring high-performing teams.

You will collaborate with leadership to align engineering with business goals, implement CI/CD, and champion DevOps and cloud-native practices across complex systems.

Qualifications

• Experience: 9-10 years in backend architecture and Java/J2EE ecosystems.
• Strong expertise in microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-native patterns.
• Proficient with Java 17+, Spring Boot, JWT security, and data stores.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive enterprise application architecture strategy using Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Lead technical decisions on modernization, framework selection, and cloud adoption.
• Architect distributed systems and API-driven ecosystems with long-term maintainability.
• Establish engineering standards, governance, and secure development guidelines.
• Lead engineering teams and coordinate cross-functional collaboration.
• Drive non-functional requirements: scalability, observability, security, and DR.

Job Description

Mandatory Skills:

Backend Unit Testing (JUnit), Data Structure, Microservices + REST APIs, Multithreading & Concurrency, OOPS Concepts, Java 17+, JPA, Kafka, Git Hub, MS SQL, Spring Boot + Spring Security (JWT)

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive enterprise application architecture strategy using Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices. Also ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Lead strategic technical decisions related to application modernization, framework selection, and cloud-native adoption.
• Architect distributed systems, microservices platforms, and API-driven ecosystems aligned with enterprise goals.
• Establish engineering standards, governance practices, reusable frameworks, and secure development guidelines across teams.
• Lead engineering teams and drive collaboration across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Drive implementation of non-functional requirements including scalability, observability, security, and disaster recovery.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical discussions, and modernization initiatives ensuring future-ready application ecosystems.
• Design and drive enterprise messaging and event-driven architectures using relevant messaging and event-streaming technologies.
• Collaborate with leadership teams and enterprise architects to align engineering initiatives with organizational strategy.
• Drive adoption of DevOps, CI/CD automation, cloud-native engineering, and containerization practices.
• Identify technical risks and architectural gaps proactively while defining mitigation strategies for long-term platform stability.
• Provides strong technical leadership aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Drives architecture and solution design decisions for scalable, secure, and maintainable applications.
• Balances delivery accountability with technical excellence, quality, and team collaboration.
• Builds and mentors high-performing teams by fostering ownership, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders for successful delivery.
• Demonstrates strong stakeholder management and communication by providing visibility into risks and technical decisions.
• Drives engineering excellence through governance standards, automation, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
• Promotes a culture of quality, performance optimization, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Leads modernization and cloud adoption initiatives supporting enterprise engineering transformation.
