Job summary

Globant in India is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to lead backend development using Java 8+ and Spring Boot. You will design scalable microservices, mentor a team of engineers, and drive architectural decisions in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with product teams, implement container orchestration with Kubernetes, and work with Kafka/RabbitMQ, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and CI/CD pipelines to deliver high-performance software.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of software development experience with strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.

Detailed JD

We are seeking an experienced Java Tech Lead with 8-10 years exp with a strong background in Spring-based application development, container orchestration, and event-driven systems. This role requires both hands-on coding expertise and the ability to lead, mentor, and guide a team of developers in building scalable, high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
• Architect and implement scalable Microservices and distributed systems
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to development teams
• Review code, enforce best practices, and ensure high-quality deliverables
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders for solution design
• Drive adoption of Kubernetes (K8s/EKS) for container orchestration
• Design and integrate messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and technical decision-making
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize system performance

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or above)
• Extensive experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s or EKS)
• Experience with messaging systems: Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus
• Proven experience in leading teams or mentoring developers
