Srijan: Now Material seeks a hands‑on Technical Lead - Java to guide the design and development of scalable cloud‑native applications. You will lead enterprise‑grade Java solutions, mentor teams, and drive technical excellence across microservices and distributed systems.

The role focuses on REST APIs, event‑driven architectures, and AWS deployments with emphasis on performance, security, and scalability. You will collaborate with product and architecture teams in a hybrid Gurgaon setup.

Qualifications

• 8–14 years of hands‑on software development experience.
• Strong experience building and delivering large‑scale distributed applications in production.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise‑grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and build scalable microservices and distributed systems capable of handling high transaction volumes.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams through design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Design and develop REST APIs with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
• Build event‑driven applications using Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Develop cloud‑native applications on AWS and implement best practices for scalability and reliability.
• Optimize application performance through caching, concurrency, JVM tuning, and database optimization.
• Drive engineering best practices, including clean code, SOLID principles, design patterns, TDD, and automated testing.
• Participate in system design, architecture reviews, production support, and technical roadmap planning.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and containerised deployments.
