Job summary

The CABCS Group is seeking a skilled translator/interpreter to bridge English and Japanese communications between offshore and onsite teams, translating business and technical documents.

You will handle confidential emails, provide interpretation for meetings, and ensure accurate renditions including keigo and technical jargon, with IT document experience and JLPT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience translating documents of business and technical nature.
• At least 1 year of experience in IT-related documents.
• JLPT certification (N3 or N2, possibly N1).
• Professional training in Translation/Interpretation or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate written and verbal communication between offshore and onsite technical team.
• Translate confidential emails and other written documentation from Japanese to English, and English to Japanese.
• Provide verbal interpretation for meetings and conference calls.
• Demonstrate fluency in English and Japanese, including keigo, jargon, slang, and idioms, with basic technical understanding.
• Coordinate between offshore and onsite teams to meet deadlines with fluctuating priorities.
• Communicate with tact and diplomacy across all levels of personnel.
• Proficient with English and Japanese versions of Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Experience with English and Japanese versions of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Professional training in Translation/Interpretation or equivalent experience.
