Provide compassionate and confidential counselling to individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatment. Support patients in managing emotional and psychological concerns related to infertility and IVF. Explain the IVF process, treatment procedures, timelines, risks, and available treatment options. Help patients understand and cope with possible treatment outcomes, including success, failure, and multiple pregnancies. Provide emotional support to patients throughout the fertility treatment journey. Assist patients in managing anxiety, stress, and other emotional challenges. Educate patients on coping strategies and available support resources. Provide information about support groups and other relevant services. Maintain confidentiality and ensure a patient-centered approach throughout the counselling process. Counsel patients regarding the emotional aspects of egg donation, sperm donation, surrogacy, and embryo freezing. Provide continuous emotional support throughout the IVF journey, from initial consultation to post-treatment follow-up. Coordinate with fertility specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care. Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient progress and care plans. Communicate patient concerns effectively with the medical team to ensure holistic care. Maintain accurate, confidential records of counselling sessions and patient interactions. Ensure compliance with legal and ethical requirements related to patient confidentiality and informed consent. Advocate for patients emotional and psychological needs within the healthcare system. Support patients in making informed decisions regarding treatment options and reproductive choices. Be available for on-call counselling duties as required.
