Job summary

DR.KAMAKSHI MEMORIAL HOSPITAL PVT. LTD. in Chennai invites qualified IVF nursing professionals to join the fertility care team.

You will provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing IVF, assist specialists during consultations and procedures, and educate patients on medications, investigations, and treatment schedules. The ideal candidate holds GNM/B.Sc. Nursing with Tamil Nadu Registration and 1–3 years of nursing experience; freshers with strong IVF interest may be considered.

Qualifications

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing required.
• Valid Tamil Nadu Nursing Council Registration.
• 1–3 years nursing experience preferred.
• Freshers with strong IVF nursing interest may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing IVF and fertility treatments.
• Assist fertility specialists during consultations, procedures, and treatment cycles.
• Educate patients regarding IVF procedures, medications, investigations, and schedules.
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Coordinate follicular monitoring, scans, and blood investigations.
• Prepare patients for oocyte retrieval and embryo transfer.
• Maintain patient records, treatment charts, and procedure documentation.
• Coordinate with embryology, laboratory, pharmacy, and medical teams for smooth workflow.
• Provide instructions on medication schedules and post-procedure care.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide emotional support to patients.

Job Description

• Provide nursing care and support to patients undergoing IVF and fertility treatments.
• Assist fertility specialists during consultations, procedures, and treatment cycles.
• Educate patients regarding IVF procedures, medications, investigations, and treatment schedules.
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Coordinate and assist with follicular monitoring, scans, blood investigations, and other treatment-related procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures such as oocyte retrieval and embryo transfer.
• Assist the medical team during oocyte retrieval, embryo transfer, and other fertility procedures.
• Monitor patients before and after procedures and report any abnormalities promptly.
• Maintain accurate patient records, treatment charts, medication records, and procedure documentation.
• Coordinate with the embryology, laboratory, pharmacy, and medical teams for smooth treatment workflow.
• Provide instructions regarding medication schedules, follow-up visits, and post-procedure care.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and ensure appropriate handling of sensitive fertility-related matters.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and couples throughout the treatment process.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, biomedical waste management, and hospital protocols.
• Ensure proper preparation, cleanliness, and availability of equipment and supplies in the IVF unit.
• Follow up with patients regarding appointments, investigations, treatment cycles, and pregnancy test schedules.
• Assist in maintaining IVF-related registers, records, and reports.
• Participate in emergency care and provide on-call support as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
• Valid Tamil Nadu Nursing Council Registration
• 1–3 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in IVF, fertility, OBG, or reproductive medicine will be an added advantage.
• Freshers with a strong interest in IVF nursing may also be considered.
