Job summary

Aptiv PLC is hiring an Electrical/Electronics Engineer to design and develop automotive products in Active Safety and User-Experience areas. The role is based in Chennai, focusing on verification and validation of system-level testing for BCM, Gateway, and Key fob with strong emphasis on test bench environments.

Strong background in CAN/CAN-FD, J1939, GMLAN, LIN and Ethernet, with diagnostic protocols like UDS, DoIP, ISO 15765, and DOORS/Polarion experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience analysing electrical circuits and system-level knowledge of electronic controllers.
• Experience with automotive serial comms and diagnostic protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, J1939, GMLAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Experience with diagnostic protocols (KWP, ISO 14229 UDS, DoIP).
• Knowledge of serial/physical layer testing (CAN, CAN-FD, ISO11898-2, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
• Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Polarion).
• Experience with automated/manual test benches for BCM features and functions.

Responsibilities

• Verification & Validation of system-level testing in BCM, Gateway, Key fob, RFR.
• Test design, test case generation and test execution on hardware-in-loop bench setups.
• Test reporting, defect tracking and support functions.
• Issue analysis using standard problem solving methods and tools.

We’re hiring an Electrical/Electronics Engineer to design and develop our automotive products in the areas of Active Safety and User-Experience. This position is located in TCI.

Role Description:

• Verification & Validation of System level Testing in Automotive Products of BCM, Gateway, Key fob, RFR

DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:

• Tasks corresponds to Core IO software Testing and validation
• The tasks correspond to Automotive Electronics Product Testing, especially with respect to BCM features/Body domain.
• Understanding of test bench environment
• Setting up/ Modification in the Automated and manual test environment
• Understanding of Product Specifications and perform requirement Analysis
• Test design, test case generation and test execution on the hardware in loop bench setup
• Test reporting, defect tracking and supportive functions.
• Issue analysis using standard problem solving methods and tools

Your Background:

• Hands on experience in analysing electrical circuits, and having system level knowledge in understyanding different blocks of any electronic controllers
• Hands on experience in Communication protocol(s) : CAN/ CAN-FD/ J1939/ GMLAN/ LIN/ Flexray/ Ethernet
• Hands on experience in diagnostic protocol(s) : KWP, ISO 14229 (UDSOnCAN, UDSOnFR), DoIP, ISO 15765, ISO 10681
• Hands on experience in Serial communication Physical layer testing/Network compliance testing - (PC5/CAN/ CAN-FD-[ ISO11898-2 (ed. 2016), ISO 16845, parts 1 and 2] / LIN [SAEJ2602]/ FlexRay/Ethernet)
• Experience in using any requirements management tools (DOORS/POLARION)
• Working experience with Automated Test environment /Manual Test benches for BCM features and Functions
• Experience in setting up Test bench for BCM.
