Job summary

Aptiv in Bengaluru is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement automotive-grade software in C for 16/32-bit MCUs. You will work across multi-core, multi-domain systems, focusing on AUTOSAR workflows, device drivers and various communication protocols.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, debugging, and verification using CAN/LIN/Ethernet, with exposure to safety standards and ASPICE processes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of embedded software experience with C on 16/32-bit MCUs.
• Hands-on in Autosar workflows, device drivers, CAN/LIN/Ethernet.</string>
• Experience with cross compilers, debuggers and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software for automotive domains.
• Work on power modes, UDS/Diagnostics, bootloaders and high-speed networks.
• Implement and verify device drivers and AUTOSAR components.
• Use analysis and testing tools, oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Collaborate across multi-core, multi-domain automotive systems.
• Contribute to functional safety processes and ASPICE compliance.

Embedded Software Engineer

Your role

In particular you will be responsible for:

• 6+ years
• Hands on Experience in embedded SW development using C for 16/32-bit micros – Infineon, NXP, etc
• Hands on experience in cross compilers, debuggers/emulators
• Hands on experience in device driver development
• Hands on experience in Autosar methodologies and workflows
• Hands on experience in, Power Mode, UDS, Diagnostics, Bootloader, communication protocols – CAN/LIN/Flexray/Ethernet & tools for the same like CANalyzer, CANoe etc
• Experience in Verification tools- Static analysis tools, Unit Testing tools
• Hands on experience in handling measurement tools like Oscilloscope, Current probe, Signal generators etc
• Hands on experience in multi core and multi domain systems
• Experience in different security aspects of Vehicle Connectivity
• Exposure to Automotive standard processes-CMM/ASPICE Functional safety ISO 26262 overview

Optional Skills

• Working Experience in Gateway product will be an added advantage
• Working Experience in BCM will be an added advantage
• Working Experience in PEPS/PAKM will be an added advantage
• Working Experience in V2X will be added advantage
