Job summary

Valmet is seeking an Item Specialist with strong knowledge of item data management to join the Services - Global Item Data Management team. You will play a key role in the quote-to-delivery process by ensuring item data consistency and quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics or business administration or equivalent experience.
• Proficient English, written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and customer-service oriented.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret technical documentation.
• Experience with PDM/PLM and ERP systems such as Infor LN is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate across global teams.

In This Role You Will Be Responsible For

• Daily item data creation, maintenance, and lifecycle control in Valmet systems according to item data management processes.
• Collaboration with global network of business area professionals to facilitate efficient end-to-end process cycle times.
• Maintain item data quality and implement corrective actions.
• Contributing to the development ideas of new item data related concepts

Our Expectations For You

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics or business administration or other relevant experience
• Language skills in English, both written and oral
• Multi-cultural team player with clear communication skills and with customer service-attitude
• Strong Analytical, development minded and self-motivated
• Capability to utilize technical documentation and read drawings and eye for detail.
• Knowledge of Valmet or other technical products is considered as an advantage
• Systems experience of PDM/PLM, Infor LN (or other ERP system) is considered as an advantage. Microsoft Office skills are also advantage.
• Experience or knowledge from master data management is considered as an advantage
• Willingness to learn new skills with good team of colleagues across the globe!
